Our full service auto repair shop can provide Kensington residents with complete range of automotive services, including but not limited to:

Kensington Brake Maintenance Service

We use brakes hundreds of times, even during short drives. Yet often car owners skip brake inspection until grinding sound becomes an unpleasant reminder that it’s time to take care of the brakes. Unfortunately, when the brakes are at the grinding stage, chances are brake pads have been severely worn down and rotors are being damaged as well. While we can provide brake rotor replacement, we would rather you only had to change brake pads. This is especially important with newer cars, as the brake rotors are made much thinner than in the past, and so brake rotor resurfacing is no longer an option.

We highly recommend regular brake inspections, not only to catch the brake pads (or brake shoes if your vehicle has them) before they are fully worn out, but also to discover other problems before they manifest into full blow failures – we inspect brake lines, brake calipers, condition of the brake fluid, and the emergency brake as well. Regular brake inspections at Adams Autoworx not only save you money, but also give you the peace of mind that comes from knowing that your vehicle’s brake system was serviced by highly trained professionals.

Kensington Tires

Just as your vehicle’s brakes should be inspected on the regular basis, so should your vehicle’s tires. After the braking system, tires are probably the second most important safety feature of your vehicle. Our auto tire specialists will check tire tread, and tire air pressures, adjusting the air pressure to manufacturer specifications if needed. We will also look for uneven tire wear which can indicate tire alignment problem or suspension problems. Our technicians can also provide tire repair, tire rotation, tire balancing, and wheel alignment for Kensington passenger cars, SUVs and pickup trucks. If we find out that your vehicle’s tires are due for replacement, we can offer a broad range of tire choices, including Continental, Falken, Michelin, Bridgestone, and many other brands as well.

Kensington Check Engine Light

There are literally hundreds of conditions that can result in the Check Engine Light being illuminated. Some are pretty benign, like the fuel cap getting old and not fitting tight anymore, some are merely a matter of replacing worn out parts, like the spark plugs. But check engine light can also come on because of engine misfires or because of catalytic converter failure. At our auto repair facility, we will use state-of-the-art digital diagnostic equipment to get to the root cause of the problem – once we know the cause of the check engine light, we can provide repairs that will get your vehicle back in service.

Kensington Battery and Charging / Starting System Service

If you ever experienced a no-start condition on a cold winter morning, chances are that battery was not able to hold enough charge to get the car started. Our technicians offer battery testing so you know that no matter how cold it gets, your vehicle will reliably start – every day. Sometimes the batter might be just fine, but the alternator fails to produce sufficient electric current to charge up the battery. That why in addition to battery testing, we also offer alternator testing service, and well as an overall check of the charging and starting system.

Services mentioned above are only a fraction of what we have provided and what we continue to offer to our Kensington clients. We are a full service auto repair shop, so if there is a service your automobile needs, give us a call. Below is a highly abbreviated list of services we offer:
